John Rocha's first collection "John Rocha at Waterford" was launched in 1997 to wide aclaim. Born in Hong Kong but based in Ireland for the past 20 years, Rocha was named British Designer of the Year in 1994 and in 2002 was further awarded "Commander of the British Empire" (CBE) in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list. This range of John Rocha lighting at Waterford Collection is part of an extensive range of tabletop crystal and lighting presented by House of Ireland that combines elegant contemporary design with Waterford's fine craftsmanship.
